Yes, residents value Shiplake’s settlements, environment, landscape and its shops and services but the draft NP references an outdated survey saying residents want more smaller housing. Since the survey was conducted three years ago planning permission has been granted for some 200 units at Thames Farm, Wyevale, Mount Ida and Retirement Village. Many of these units are smaller properties, ‘affordable’ homes and retirement apartments - I think most residents think that we don't need any more!
