Many residents have found it very easy to respond to the Shiplake Neighbourhood Plan. There are just 4 questions to answer. Your response will take you just a few minutes. It couldn’t be easier to respond now, but make sure you do it latest by July 14th. You can find details HERE

Katharine, firstly thank you for responding. At the moment we do not have a NP which is approved and in place. What we have is a draft out for consultation. That is why we need to keep pushing to get input to it, and then next steps are approval via SODC/examiner & eventually a referendum. Having what is known as a 'made' NP would give us much stronger position to ensure development in Shiplake is in line with our wishes. In losing planning appeals reference was made to no NP in place yet.

Can I just clarify if the neighbourhood plan will actually help us contest the large new developments planned for our village? The large second retirement complex was approved for our tiny villagedespite the fact that it was not in the Shiplake Neighbourhood Plan and it was also contested by many villagers in a petition. What can we actually do as villagers to limit these large developments happening? The Neighbourhood Plan doesn't seem to play a part in these decisions. Thank you
