The Consultation Period for the Neighbourhood Plan is now closed

The consultation period lasted from February 29th until July 14th and is now closed.

We've had an exceptional response, especially in the last 3 weeks. You will see from recent forum posts it also raised some healthy debate.

If you were one of the many residents who attended the virtual Zoom meetings, made representations by post, email or used the forum or online questionnaire to  comment thank you very much for your consideration, time and efforts. It is much appreciated, regardless of whether you were in favour of the plan as it is, for it with amends, or against it. Your inputs will be reviewed objectively.

The NP Committee will now take all the responses and decide the next actions for the the plan and what, if anything, from the draft plan to amend. This will be based on an objective review of all the responses provided from all residents and other consultees and the conclusions that can now be made at the end of the consultation.

There are still steps to go through: Parish Council approval, submission to SODC; independent examination and then a referendum before Shiplake can say it has a NP in place.  Your NP committee and Parish Council are as committed as ever to get the right plan in place.

Once again thank you for your responses. You have helped shape Shiplake for the future.
