1 of 2 The response from the EA here on 16 July is bizarre given what has gone on at Thames Farm. You would think that the sites are miles apart rather than next door to each other. Why are 2 different people at the EA giving such different responses to adjacent site applications?

2 of 2 The answer seems to do with procedure and the fact that Thames Farm has a consent granted which did NOT have the full due diligence information about the ground conditions. Given these circumstances, the Thames Farm application should be REJECTED and they asked to resubmit the matter as a MATERIAL VARIATION to their scheme. They cannot be permitted to just slide this proposal through on the quiet which is clearly what they are trying to do. This is wrong and UNDEMOCRATIC

The Environment Agency response to this development is a very clear rejection to protect the underlying aquifer - how come they did not appear to have made the same comments re Thames Farm which is adjacent?
