Re Thames Farm

Thanks for your question asking how the Parish Council is representing villagers' interests on Thames Farm. Please be reassured that the PC continues strongly to oppose Taylor Wimpey’s proposal to drain surface water into the Lashbrook. We have been working closely with the Thames Farm Action Group, which includes our Deputy Chairman David Pheasant. We agreed that TFAG would take the lead in discussions with Taylor Wimpey and SODC - a single voice will have maximum impact. Working with TFAG, we commissioned an expert Flood Risk Assessment which we believe has persuaded Taylor Wimpey to abandon their proposals to drain into the Lashbrook. By the way, we currently have vacancies on the PC and are always looking for volunteers!
