Was the NP changed to reflect residents views?
The response to last year's Consultation was very +ve with 82% broadly agreeing with the plan and 12% not. Some 30% felt policies were missing and/or incorrect whilst 70% were happy. 326 comments were received and analysed.
The principal issued raised related to the impact of the 200+ new houses in recent times in and on the edge of Shiplake, subdivision of properties, impact on the environment, urbanisation and concern that the NP was now effectively out of date in not reflecting the current situation, given the amount of new housing for small rural villages. These views were also expressed and discussed during the 2 well attended Zoom meetings hosted by the parish council.
Was the plan changed as a result? YES, it certainly was. Page 10 of the NP Consultation Statement references the changes in the NP's Objectives along with specific policies to address those concerns. YOUR views count and have made a difference!

Many thanks for your support and input throughout the development of the plan.
