NP Referendum Day & Plan Summary
The final vote is tomorrow, 28th July at Memorial Hall starting at 7am and finishing at 10pm. Immediately afterwards the 'in person' and postal votes will be counted and the outcome verified by SODC officials with Shiplake Parish Council Chair (Chris penrose) and Vice Chair (David Pheasant) in attendance. The outcome will be published on 29th July.
There have been some queries as to 1). the voting procedure and 2). access to some of the details of the Neighbourhood Plan in simplified form, reflecting the amount of detailed content of the plan. The information below should address these queries:
1. Voting Procedure:
The referendum is a straight YES or NO vote.
YES means you want SODC to adopt the Shiplake Plan into its planning considerations.
There are no further questions asked in the referendum.
2. Neighbourhood Plan in simplified form
Click on the link Summary of Shiplake Plan, which includes the Vision, Objectives, Policies, Villages and Landscape Character considerations in a 'pictorial' presentation format or via the link on the website Home page article.
We trust this helps and thank residents for their contributions, involvement and support for the plan. Please take this opportunity to vote on the plan.
