Shiplake's rapidly increasing ring-necked parakeet population

I am concerned at the vast number of ring-necked parakeets this summer, native bird song has been mostly drowned out where I live by the sound of squawking parrots. There has already been a dramatic change in the species which visit my garden in the last 1.5 decades. I used to get a lot of nutchatches, tree creepers and great spotted woodpeckers, now I don't, these are all losing their nest holes to the parakeets plus there have sadly also been so many trees felled in Shiplake. Sad changes
