Thames Farm - Thank You!
As I am sure most people will know, The Thames Farm Application was voted down unanimously by SODC last night. On behalf of the local residents I just wanted to thank all of the Parish and SODC / OCC Councillors for their great effort in getting this matter dismissed. A brilliant effort by all concerned!

Can I echo David Parr's comment and give a big thanks to David Pheasant who worked his socks off to keep us up to date via the web-site and organised all the logistics as well as helping to coordinate the presentations and reviewing content.
Thanks David

Along with brilliant presentations from the team I would add the excellent use of the village web-site, co-ordination of responses and transport, for which I believe we should thank David Pheasant.I could not expect a more appropriate response to my question on the 26th August to "How will the Parish Council respond?"
7th. Sept Job Well Done!!.
Unfortunately appeals are still possible and in addition there are other sites earmarked by developers awaiting approval of the Shiplake Farm Site.

Edward,
Until SODC get their act together on the 5 year supply with a rolling programme of deliverables, then this will no doubt return in the future. The trick now is for the Councils to put pressure on SODC to manage its supply side pro-actively and to draw up a prioritised next best opportunities to turn to when their list of preferred opportunities suffers any degradation.
I for one will now be focusing my efforts on achieving this via political pressure and the oxygen from publicity!

...... and a big thank you to all the residents for their input which helped influence the Committee and for the massive show of community support last night.
