Track Renewal, Road Closures & Refuse Collection
The track renewal starting tomorow 14th thro' to 5:40am on Friday 18th August @ 5:40am will be done on an 'around the clock' 24 hour basis. The crossing and road closures for Bolney and Lashbrook Roads, plus Basmore Lane during this period will affect refuse collection.
For these roads, arrangements for refuse collection have been made with Biffa as follows:
Collection will be scheduled for Saturday 19th but if the temporary improvements to Bolney Lane and weight limits on the railway bridge permit they may collect earlier in the week and advise residents to leave their bins at the front of their properties as usual on Wednesday 16th August.
All drivers using Bolney Lane for access be mindful of the narrow lane width over and approaching the railway bridge. Footpaths over the railway track approaching the station are closed unless advised otherwise by Network Rail.

A reminder to residents in Bolney and Lashbrook Roads and Basmore Lane to leave their refuse bins for collection on Wednesday (16th) as usual, albeit collection may be delayed until Saturday this week ending 19th August.

Just did the same! Definitely agree temporary lights are required! Drivers reversing for quite some way to let other vehicles pass….

I have just travelled down Bolney Lane and the bottom half although now suitable because the pot holes are filled is single track with no passing places, meaning many instances of drivers having to reverse long distances, with no certainty that when they proceed again it will be clear. Surely temporary traffic lights are required.

Thank you for this information. Has the work been extended now then? All the signage says from Monday to Wednesday, not Friday? Also - I was told the footpath over the rail that would take you through to the road the butcher is on would be open and therefore assumed the footpath from Lashbrook road over to Toast Lane would also be open. Is this definitely not the case? Many thanks
