Flooding: Road closure update

Update from OCC Highways:

The water level is rising on Thameside and Station Road in Henley. Parts of the Wargrave Road on the other side of the Thames have flooded.

Thameside has now been closed and this is causing traffic problems in the town.

There are also problems elsewhere on the Thames crossings due to water levels rising – crossings at Playhatch/Sonning, Clifton Hampden and Culham have been closed. There are also problems at Caversham.

All this will create problems during rush hour tomorrow morning (Monday 8th), potentially exacerbated by ice due to the low temperatures tonight.

OCC gritting from 5pm but warns it is going to be a challenge.
