Upper New Road - is this true? :-(

I was told yesterday that 2 of the fields adjoining upper New Road have been sold for development and that it will no longer be the unadopted road that we all love to walk but a Council owned proper road, a busy thoroughfare with traffic accessing the two entire fields of new housing?

Hi Carol. Yes, no planning applied for yet but what I was told, additional to previous threads about camera and traffic surveillance equipment in New Road and Crowsley Road for possible developmental purposes does make me wonder.
