You Couldn't Make it Up!!!

Eagle eyed readers will have seen TFAG's latest update about the failure of SODC to determine the EIA Screening Application by Taylor Wimpey which is here.

The reason given for this failure to determine was that the EA had not responded to the consultation, and so SODC were unable to make a decision!!!

Well surprise surprise, today, a response from the EA but dated 27 JUNE has appeared on the SODC Planning Portal. I'm not often lost for words, but I am today! The resopnse may be seen here!!!

Readers will no doubt form their own opinion!

Thoughts: Did the SODC deliberately mislead about sending an email to the Environment Agency. Will they provide a copy of the original they sent. Why was the EA response not included in information provided by the SODC, also why did they say no response received. If the Environment Agency "is not a statutory consultee for EIA screening", why did the council require them to contribute and state they could not make a decision without their input. This surely requires a Ombudsman referral.
