Station Road closed 27th & 28th August

Station Road will be closed on 27th and 28th August between 09.30 and 15.30 each day to facilitate carriageway repairs.

During this time the only way in and out of the village for vehicles will be Mill Lane (single track in parts), New Road (unmade in parts) and Bolney Lane (unmade). Residents may wish to bear this in mind when scheduling deliveries etc. (NB: The official diversion is via Mill Lane, which will have a temporary one-way priority system.)

I have contacted the roads team on the council to ask if the white line road markings drone Station Road into Northfield Road and Ave can be repainted while the work is being carried out. The response was they would see what they can do, but any weight you can add to getting the white lines painted would be appreciated. Cars now turn off station road not realising the right of way and I am certain without clear lines there will be an accident. Thanks.

Will there still be access to Quarry Lane as we can't be blocked in for 2 days? Thanks for your comments.
