That is very good to hear. Thank you to all involved, including Councillor Rawlins, for all your efforts to ensure that this matter is dealt with appropriately and the safety of the village, the residents (and its drinking water!) is intact .... for the time being at least.

It's late so just a quick update!

Sorry to those who tried to dial in and couldn't, but SODC had gremlins in the system, and couldn't get it working!

The Planning Committee rejected the main Planning Application - 7:1 with 1 abstention.

The grounds were essentially that the 'safety' of the proposals was not sufficiently proven and so the risk of approving was too great.

 Clr Leigh Rawlins was a star performer for us residents and put a very cogent case forwards. We much appreciate his input as too that of David Pheasant. 
TW were there in force and their star turn was also very good, not to be under estimated in any future skirmishes.

The second application - the s73 modifications was deferred pending a report by officers given the vote of members for the main application, and was not therefore considered.

NB this is not the end! There will be more to come at Thames Farm, so great to win this round but it's not the end of the war!
