Autumn at The Plough Shiplake

After such beautiful summer, we are excited to announce lots of great events at The Plough Shiplake this autumn. 

Friday 3 October- Sunday 12 October: Enjoy a free coffee and Gorvett & Stone chocolate when you stop by with your Henley Literary Festial ticket. No purchase necessary- but we would appreciate getting some "good reads" tips.

Friday 10 October: New Autumn menu launches

Wednesday 15 October: Autumn SET LUNCH offer launches; two courses £28 or three for £35, available 12-2:30pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday until Wednesday 19 November. 

Thursday 16 October: Garden Lunch Event; Award winning garden designer, Tabitha Rigden, who designed Hestia Garden, will be leading a morning workshop, followed by two course lunch & glass of house wine. From our initial meeting, through ground works and plant selection, Tabitha will share all the details of our journey…as well as some top tips for planning your own garden transformation. From 10:30am, £65pp 

Saturday 25 October: Naughty Halloween Flight Club, 5-course tasting menu including wine & cocktail pairing. October sees two our favourite burlesque duo bring the Naughty Halloween theme to life with their sexy performances. From 6:30pm, £145 per person

Thursday 6 November: Festive Season Radiance; Style consultant Maggie McMillan will help you create a wardrobe for the forthcoming festive season with ideas for outfits that won’t cost a fortune and will still work when it’s all over. While skincare guru, Rosanne Joseph-Anthony (Clinical Director, Healthium Clinics) will give us the latest insights on preparing our skin for the challenges of winter weather and the inevitable (yet wonderful) overindulgences of the holiday celebrations. Coffee & pastries on arrival, followed by a two hour interactive workshop, and two course lunch with a glass of house wine. From 10am, £75pp

Wednesday 26 November: Christmas menu, including FESTIVE SET LUNCH offer, launches.

Wednesday 12 November: Shipalake Master Pub Quiz; Shiplake College Housemaster, Marcus Milburn, will leave the college for a night of fabulous fun, across 4 rounds of pub quiz challenges. We will of course have surprises throughout the evening, and some fabulous prizes, but mostly we look forward to having a proper laugh. From 7:30pm, £2pp

Wednesday 3 December: Festive Wreath Making; Join us for a lovely morning of Floral Art, lead by Lyndsay from Moomi Botanicals, as you create a sustainable festive centrepiece or wreath, that will be sure to add joy to your holiday season. Enjoy coffee on arrival, followed by the morning workshop and 2-course lunch, including glass of house wine. 12 spaces available. From 10am, £100pp

Monday 29 December: Better than NYE Flight Club; after the success of last year's event, we are hosting our New Year's Eve party a little early again. Enjoy a stunning 5-course menu, wine & cocktail pairings and fabulous live music with all the glamour of a new year's eve party. It's really the best of both worlds- celebrate with us on the 29th, then ring in the New Year at home with your favourite curry & the best of British telly. £145pp, from 6:30pm

And we still have some availablity in our private dining room to host your Christmas party. Whether you're looking for somewhere new to take your favourite clients or just want a delicious family reunion venue, our private dining rooom is the perfect setting. We can host up to 22 guests for a sit down meal or 40 for standing reception. We also have a special promotion this month. Christmas bookings will receive a free bottle of Hundred Hills Preamble sparkling wine or a £50 voucher for the person making the booking. Your choice.
